What is Empowerment Technology?

Empowerment Technology is empowering the use of technology to the world. Technology has advanced in different ways, however, not everyone in the world has the knowledge on how to use technology properly. In the world we live in, technology can be seen everywhere such as phones, tablets, computers, and etc. It has helped us in numerous ways such as communicating and obtaining information on the internet. It has been useful to each and everyone by making our lives easier and to help the world prepare for its future plans.

Importance of Empowerment Technology

Technology has its own importance and roles in our lives. We must appreciate it and use it wisely. People should learn to empower technology by doing things that have good benefit to us by the use of gadgets and computers. Empowerment Technology is important to prepare future generations and teach them the true value of technology in the society. It teaches us the proper etiquette of using it and not how to use it.

Years have passed and technology has never stopped improving and innovating. One of the important uses of empowerment technology is the use of communication in the use of different mediums such as phones and laptops. Before, phones are just used to text and call people, but companies have learned new ways to make changes and influence the world. Nowadays, people can use their phone or computers to communicate and socialize with other people from all around the world by the use of applications such as messenger, instagram and etc. Without these applications, it will be inconvenient for people to communicate with other people from far away places.

Empowerment Technology has affected and made our daily lives easier. During this pandemic, my school has cancelled its face-to-face learning and has now used virtual learning to continue the students’ education. With the help of Empowerment Technology, teachers and students made their lives easier through the use of tablets and phones to communicate and send documents. Apps such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Google Docs, and etc. have helped us collaborate with each other which is easy and convenient.
